A GRIT OF SAND, TURN'S INTO A PEARL

Pearl writes, I am not weak and have been long conditioned to be strong in the Lord. When I first gave my life to the Lord, many years ago now, I began to attend a church which gave me the false belief that "everything was ok now, I'm saved". I was devastated when I realized just how far from the truth this was. I traveled on a long and difficult path to the truth. This stumbling block caused much grief and self condemnation for me.

We have weapons of warfare~ Eph 6, and we have been given the same measure of faith. I learned to stop feeling sorry for myself and instead turned to sharing my testimony, and this is the only way we can overcome the enemy~ by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

My prayer is that we, Christians, get back to the basics of prayer! Stop chasing the "glory" of music, money driven bodies called "church". These ministries are powerless! You get into one of these "feel good" church bodies and you feel good....for a little while~ a quick "fix" and then you realize nothing has changed. Suddenly you are right back where you were~ when you started your search for healing.

So, you have a story to tell.....well don't we all? Horrific stories of tragedies in your past and maybe right now? I have a story to tell too.

My background is saturated with childhood sexual, physical, and mental abuse. I was thrown away by both my parents. Parents who were supposed to protect me..... this is the ultimate betrayal of all time.

I lived in 22 foster homes and 1 orphanage which spanned 11 years.

I find no where in the Bible where it says we will have a perfect life here on earth.

I find the opposite, God warned us we will have trouble (Ps 34:10).

I, too, will not put any stumbling block in anyone's path as in 2Cor 6:3-10 "We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way; in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet posessing everything".

If all we hold dear in life is taken and we have but God left, then we have everything. Our lives here last only a moment, and then real life begins and for all eternity.

We must forgive all. ALL. When we pray it should be with "anguish" and not concern! Our common enemy has worked very hard to destroy our lives. Let us destroy all of his efforts and choose to forgive those who have harmed us, pray for them.

In forgiveness our healing begins. Praise God in all situations~ in doing this we make the enemy cringe. Maybe you cannot forgive right now, but when you ask God to help you forgive~ He does!!!! You need only to be willing!

And remember to forgive yourself too. This one was difficult for me, but I have done it. And now, when I share my testimony, it is like I am talking about someone else's life!! And remember Job.

PRAYER OF FAITH AND COURAGE

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the power of your word, that stands steadfast, tried, and true.

May I learn to forgive others as you have taught me to.

Fighting my battles with faith and courage, giving Satan his proper due.

May my past sorrows, pain, and anguish, not hide my love for you.

I will shout your wondrous story of glory, giving hope to all who are blue.

For the world in which we live, people most often do not have a clue.

That when you give your life to Jesus, He will always see you through!
