DEVOUT DEVOTION
By Synthia Esther

Service to God and being used in service by God, to our fellow man, is a prayer worth constant repeat. The key to devout prayer is a sincere desire to communicate with God, for He desires a relationship with us, His children. Reaching out from the depths of our hearts in prayer, we have God's keen ear of attention for He is always listening to our call, and ever ready to answer. Although His answer may seem to be delayed, or even silent, we are assured when we can't trace His hand, we can always trust His heart.
Steadfast devotion to God, is a path of faith that is blessed. As we learn to acknowledge Him in all our ways, trusting, obeying His commandments, we grow in awareness and knowing that it is He who directs our path (Proverbs 3:5-6). God is working all things out for good, to those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Devout in our stance, holding firm to His word, we have a blessed hope and future (Jeremiah 29:11).
A DEVOTION PRAYER
By Synthia Esther, January 6, 2016
Help me, Oh God, to serve You devoutly even while living in a busy world.
May I do my work wisely, remembering it is You above all, who blesses my hands.
As I seek to live to be a blessing to others, guide me in deed and action.
Thank you God, for your listening ear and loving heart,
ever showing me Your righteous ways to walk and talk.
Help me be a witness and testimony of Your grace, mercy and love,
always remembering to do unto others as You would have me to.
Teach me Father, to listen with a caring heart, to those who seek my human counsel.
Give me abundant wisdom and knowledge to impart, when needed.
I ask these things in your blessed, holy name,
Amen.
